Männistö Oy Metallituote investoi kasvuun ja osaamiseen
Markus Miekanmaa aloitti Männistö Oy Metallituotteen toimitusjohtajana alkukesällä 2026. Hän tuli yritykseen, joka on hyvässä vaiheessa. Liikevaihto on kasvanut, kun Männistö on onnistunut laajentamaan uusille toimialoille.
– Esimerkiksi Meyerin Turun telakalle valmistamme putkien kiinnikkeitä. Sellaisia tarvitaan paljon, kun rakennetaan maailman suurimpia risteilijöitä. Toki vastaavia tuotteita menee muillekin suomalaisille telakoille, kertoo Miekanmaa.
Lvi-puolella hyviä pitkäaikaisia asiakkaita ovat muun muassa Oras ja Vexve.
Kesäkuussa julkaistiin liiketoimintakauppa, jolla Jouka Oy:n metallinpuristuksen alihankintabisnes siirtyi Männistölle.
– Se on Männistölle tuttua tekemistä, metallin prässäystä. Joukan tuotteet istuvat meille nenä päähän. Työkalut on tuotu Raumalle. Nyt alamme käydä läpi asiakkaita, että hommat saadaan hyvin rullaamaan.
Männistö Oy Metallituote vastaa siirtyvän alihankintaliiketoiminnan komponenttitoimituksista elokuun alusta lähtien.
– Kyseisiä tuotteita ovat ostaneet muun muassa monet suuret suomalaiset konepaja-asiakkaat. Näemme tässä hyvän mahdollisuudet kasvattaa liikevaihtoamme, sanoo Miekanmaa.
Männistö on tehnyt investointeja kasvun ja kehityksen varmistamiseksi. Yritys esimerkiksi vuokrasi lisätilaa Susivuoren teollisuusalueelta.
– Seinät eivät tule heti vastaan, eikä kattokaan. Varastotilalla on korkeutta seitsemän metriä, esittelee Miekanmaa uusia ajanmukaisia tiloja. Uuteen halliin hankittiin uusi maalaamo. Nyt Männistö pystyy itse maalaamaan isommatkin kappaleet, mikä parantaa tehokkuutta ja toimitusvarmuutta.
– Tänne voidaan rakentaa myös robottisoluja, mikä vapauttaisi tilaa Männistönkadun tehtaalla.
Toimitusjohtaja tietää hyvin, etteivät tila- ja koneinvestoinnit riitä.
– Meillä on osaavaa ja motivoitunutta henkilöstöä. Monet ovat olleet talossa pitkään. Uutta väkeä on palkattu yrityksen kasvaessa. Rekrytointeja on taas menossa, sillä näköpiirissä on kasvun jatkuminen.
Yritykseen on hankittu myös uusi ERP-järjestelmä. Tavoitteena on mahdollisimman optimoitu tuotanto.
– Hyvällä alulla olemme senkin kanssa, kuvaa Miekanmaa.
Aina pitää olla mielessä myös seuraavia tavoitteita, joita kohti ponnistella.
– Aika paljon tuotteitamme päätyy ulkomaille, mutta oma vientiavaus olisi hyvä juttu, tuumaa toimitusjohtaja.
Robottisolu valmistaa putkikannakkeen tukivarsia väsymättä kellon ympäri viitenä päivänä viikossa. ”Tämä mahdollistaa, että ihmiset voivat tehdä muita töitä tämän solun valvonnan ohessa”, kertoo tuotantovastaava Henri Rauhala.

Männistö hankki lisää tuotanto- ja varastotilaa Susivuoren yritysalueelta valtateiden 8 ja 12 tuntumasta Raumalta.

Männistö Oy Metallituote invests in growth and expertise
Markus Miekanmaa took over as CEO of Männistö Oy Metallituote in early summer 2026. He joined a company that is in a strong position. Revenue has grown as Männistö has successfully expanded into new industries.
– For example, we manufacture pipe clamps for Meyer’s shipyard in Turku. A lot of these are needed when building the world’s largest cruise ships. Of course, similar products are also supplied to other Finnish shipyards, says Miekanmaa.
In the HVAC sector, Oras and Vexve are among the company’s long-standing customers.
In June, a business transaction was announced whereby Jouka Oy’s metal stamping subcontracting business was transferred to Männistö.
– Metal stamping is familiar territory for Männistö. Jouka’s products are a perfect fit for us. The tools have been brought to Rauma. Now we’re starting to go through our customer base to get things up and running smoothly.
Männistö Oy Metallituote will be responsible for component deliveries for the transferred subcontracting business starting in early August.
– These products have been purchased by many large Finnish engineering customers, among others. We see this as a great opportunity to grow our revenue, says Miekanmaa.
Männistö has made investments to ensure growth and development. For example, the company leased additional space in the Susivuori industrial area.
– The walls don’t get in the way, and neither does the ceiling. The warehouse has a ceiling height of seven meters, says Miekanmaa, showcasing the new, modern facilities.
A new paint shop was installed in the new facility. Now Männistö can paint even larger pieces in-house, which improves efficiency and delivery reliability.
– We can also build robotic cells here, which would free up space at the Männistö Street factory.
The CEO is well aware that investments in space and machinery alone are not enough.
– We have a skilled and motivated workforce. Many have been with the company for a long time. New employees have been hired as the company has grown. Recruitment is underway again, as continued growth is on the horizon.
The company has also acquired a new ERP system. The goal is to optimize production as much as possible.
– We’re off to a good start with that as well, says Miekanmaa.
We must always keep in mind the next goals to strive toward.
– Quite a few of our products end up abroad, but launching our own export operations would be a good move, muses the CEO.
